I have two PhD positions to work with me. Details below. Looking forward to hearing any interests.

    Requirements
    :

University of Melbourne requires students to achieve at least 80/100 in their undergrad study or standing at 5% of their class + IELTS of 6.5 with no band below 6.0. The requirements from UnivMelb are here: https://study.unimelb.edu.au/find/c...of-philosophy-engineering/entry-requirements/

    Scholarship details:

Details about the scholarship is here: https://scholarships.unimelb.edu.au/awards/graduate-research-scholarships

Two Ph.D positions are available to work with Dr. Le: https://xuanbachle.github.io/.

    (1) One position is for working on empirical software engineering (any topics, but automatic repair is preferred) with background in (applications of) machine learning for software engineering.

    (2) Another position is for specifically working on program repair with background in (lightweight) program analysis.

Ideal start date would be from July 2019. But, this is negotiable.

    How to apply:

    Please check: https://study.unimelb.edu.au/find/courses/graduate/doctor-of-philosophy-engineering/how-to-apply/

Send the following to Dr. Le’s email: bachldx@gmail.com

    • A current CV
    • All higher education transcripts
    • A research proposal
    • Any publications or publication information.
    The research proposal should:

    (1) summarize any two of Dr. Le’s papers,

    (2) state what and how the candidate’s experience matches with Dr. Le’s research. Also, make it clear the candidate’s role in any collaborative work.

    (3) future plan for research.

    Research opportunities:

Dr. Le collaborates with researchers at various universities/organizations, e.g., Carnegie Mellon University, USA, NASA Robust Software Engineering, Singapore Management University, Monash University, and so on. There are plenty of potential opportunities for international collaborations and internships.
