Thường thì các trường không ghi rank trong bảng điểm. Nên nếu em xin được giấy xác nhận ranking của trường/khoa thì quá tốt rồi. lúc anh apply các trường ở Mỹ thì chỉ ghi trong CV thôi chứ không có đòi hỏi là phải xác nhận gì hết em à.

Mọi người cho em hỏi là không biết học bổng NFP thường có kết quả khi nào ấy nhỉ. Vì tầm này HSP đã có mà e chưa thấy NFP thông báo gì cả.
Với lại e muốn tìm cái Chi phí sinh hoạt cho NFP mà không thấy đâu cả, toàn là HSP.
Một câu hỏi nữa kính mong mọi người giải đáp là không biết trong quy trình xét duyệt học bổng đó, thì xét duyệt tại ĐSQ quan trọng hay là tại Nuffic quan trọng hơn nhỉ.

1. Kết quả của NFP thường trong khoảng tuần 2 và 3 của tháng 6. Bạn sẽ có khoảng 1 tuần để confirm. Sau đó trường sẽ gửi thư học bổng cũng như các giấy tờ cần thiết đến sứ quán để bạn có thể làm VISA
2. Sinh hoạt phí của NFP là 970 Eu/tháng
3. Mình nghĩ Nuffic ra quyết định cấp học bổng còn ĐSQ chỉ có chức năng cung câp thông tin

Hix, sinh hoạt phí của NFP thấp thế thôi ạ. Thế thì k bít là mọi ng có sống thoải mái k nhi.
Mà Nuffic chọn người được học bổng thì chứng tỏ NFP cũng khó như HSP ấy chứ, vẫn là cạnh tranh giữa 65 nước chứ đâu phải chỉ có mỗi VN đâu nhỉ. Khó khăn vẫn hoàn khó khăn, hehe

PDEng Trainee Software Technology

The post-masters program Software Technology focuses on software design and systems architecture for the software-intensive systems that occur in the various application domains of the high-tech industry, as exemplified by the multinationals in the Eindhoven area. Every year it trains at most 20 graduates from Computer Science or a related discipline to become the professional software designers and architects whom the industry needs to conceive its new, innovative products and who can participate in or provide technological leadership for the multidisciplinary teams that realize these.

PhD student "Indexing massive RDF data sets"


The section Information Systems consists of the chairs Databases and Hypermedia and Architecture of Information Systems.
The Databases and Hypermedia group is world-leading in the area of adaptive hypermedia and adaptive web-based information systems. The group has produced the most referenced reference model for adaptive hypermedia and developed the most popular general-purpose adaptive hypermedia system AHA!. The group has expertise in data mining, web engineering and semantic web, and also works in application fields for adaptive technology, including e-learning and e-culture. The group has ample experience in national and international research projects, both as participant and as coordinator.
Project description:
The SeeQR project is a research collaboration between TU Eindhoven and TU Delft, the leading technical universities in the Netherlands, focusing on web data management. The project has an opening in Eindhoven for a fully funded PhD student position (4 years), supported by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO), to start as soon as possible but no later than 1 April 2011.
Motivated by the growing increase in the practical use of semantic web data management technologies such as RDF and SPARQL, e.g., in the Linked Open Data initiative, the PhD student will investigate sophisticated scalable RDF indexing mechanisms and SPARQL query processing strategies over massive dynamically evolving data sets.
The work will be carried out together with an experienced team of computer scientists in a challenging yet supportive research environment. Tasks will include developing new algorithms and data structures; their prototyping, benchmarking, and theoretical analysis; and, scientific publishing of results.
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements:

• strong mathematical and programming skills;
• an MSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other closely related discipline;
• experience in empirical research (e.g., system design and benchmarking);
• be comfortable with formal notation and writing, and unsupervised researching of relevant scientific literature;
• be excited and driven to contribute to cutting edge research in web data management systems; and,
• good communicative skills in English, both in speaking and in writing;

Appointment and salary:
We offer:

• a full-time temporary appointment for a period of 4 years, with an intermediate evaluation after 10 months;
• a gross salary of € 2,042 per month in the first year, increasing up to € 2,612 per month in the fourth year;

The Database Architectures group (INS1) of Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI, Centrum Wiskunde Informatica | CWI) in Amsterdam is looking for:
* three talented PhD candidates, and

The Database Architectures group has a unique methodology that combines fundamental database research with active participation of all group members in database engineering, centered around the open-source analytical database system MonetDB (monetdb.cwi.nl). You will be expected to write both papers and code.

The focus of the group and of these research positions is on data management and specifically on database architectures. Within that focus, the
topic portfolio of the group is broad and for the PhD positions there is a large degree of freedom. Areas of interest include: run-time query optimization, pay-as-you-go indexing (cracking), multi-query optimization, architecture-conscious algorithms as well as managing large graph-structured data sets, and large scale (array-based) scientific data management.

The post-doctoral position (2 years, extendable to 3) is part of a soon starting FP7 European project where CWI will study run-time query optimization techniques on large amounts of RDF data.

Requirements

The PhD candidates must have at least a master degree in computer science, mathematics, or related fields. The post-doc should have a completed PhD in data management, where experience with query optimization is a plus. Preferable qualifications for candidates include proven research talent, system programming skills (C/C++), practical experience with systems, and software development in a team.

Conditions of employment

The new employees will be employed full time (38 hours per week) by CWI for the duration of their respective projects and will receive a salary in accordance with the "CAO-onderzoekinstellingen" and is commensurate with experience. Besides the salary, CWI offers very attractive and flexible terms of employment, including a pension-fund.
